Our NRCP® Oil processing system is certified by the world largest surveyor and certifying company, SGS. In their certification, they verified that our oils are produced by cold pressing in accordance with CODEX conditions and refined without the use of any toxic chemicals. This certificate is available for viewing in our headquarters.

FSSC 22000 is an International Standard developed for the certification of Food Safety Management Systems for food manufacturers. It combines the requirements of ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management Systems requirements) and ISO (TS) 22002-1 (prerequisite programmes on food safety for food manufacturing).The FSSC 22000 is fully recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI), the benchmarking body for the harmonization of international food safety standards, along with other food safety management schemes like the BRC, IFS and SQF schemes.

The FSSC 22000 certification certifies that products are produced in compliance with the ISO2200 & ISO (TS) 22002-1 requirements. Our Oils Division has been FSSC 22000 certified by SGS on 6 Feb 2014. This certification is demonstrating our commitment to the food safety issues, proving our integrity to the market, and enhance consumer confidence in our brands and products.

The “HACCP” certification certifies that products are produced in compliance with the principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), a preventive system that uses a systematic approach to the identification, evaluation, and control of food safety hazards. Our HACCP plans and systems are audited by MOH based on the Malaysian HACCP certification scheme and MS 1480 : 2007. Following are the companies to-date that has obtained HACCP certification:

2009 - Flourmill Plant in Westport certified by Ministry of Health

2010 - Oils Division in Prai including Continuous Refinery Plant, Pump House, Bottling Plant, Drums & IBC Packing Plant certified by MOH

2011 – Fats Division in Prai including Batch Refinery Plant, Pump House, Hydrogenation, Fractionation, TP Packing Plant certified by MOH

2012 – Dry Food Ingredients in Prai including Maize Plant & Grain Plan certified by MOH

The “GMP” certification certifies that products are produced under a clean and good manufacturing facilities and environment including standard operating procedures, people management and training, equipment maintenance, and handling of materials. Our GMP programmes are audited by MOH based on MS 1514: 2009 Good Manufacturing Practice.

Our Halal Assurance Systems are also audited by LPPOM (Lembaga Pengkajian Pangan Obat obatan dan Kosmetika Majelis Ulama Indonesia) based on LPPOM audit guideline.

All Soon Soon products under the Oils Division have been certified halal by MUI since Year 2011.

The Kosher certification certifies that products produced are ritually fit for use in accordance with Jewish Law. All Soon Soon products under the Group have been certified Kosher since Year 2000.

SS Laboratory Services Sdn Bhd, formerly known as Central lab performed a wide range of testing including chemical and microbiological testing. This lab, automated via Lab Information Management System (LIMS) is fully equipped with the latest technology and technical know-how besides competent and dedicated staff who are highly committed to provide quality services.

SS Laboratory Services Sdn Bhd has been accredited under MS ISO17025:2005 for Chemical and Microbiological testing since Aug 2006.

SS Laboratory Services Sdn Bhd is also registered with the Malaysian Ministry of Health (Food Safety and Quality Division) since Sep 2006.

We are registered as B member under SEDEX and have been audited by SGS to verify on the compliance of our ethical and responsible practices in our supply chain since Year 2010. This system allows Soon Soon to share the same data with many customers and helps to reduce the need for multiple audits.
